An Invention Makes History

In 1943 the Danish chemist Lauritz Jensen patented the new capillary active concrete waterproofing method.  In 1946 he founded his first company in Denmark and called it VANDEX ("water out").

Owing to its many advantages and distinct benefits, the Vandex method soon succeeded in the Scandinavian market and subsequently gained ground in its European counterpart.

In the 50's and 60's Vandex penetrated the world market through subsidaries, licensing, and distributorships.

In 1979, the Vandex Group was acquired by Swiss interests and Vandex International Ltd founded as the new vehicle for the Vandex Group's International activites.

In the 90's further markets were opened in Eastern Europe, Asia, and South America.
